Alpha Sheet Tutorial! Freebie Word Art!

Have you ever downloaded a sheet of alpha and thought "How do I get the letters I want off?" Well here is the tutorial for you!!

Start by opening the file
Next
select the Marquee tool (dotted line box or circle)

Make a square (you can do a circle but a square is easier)

Have both windows side by side so that you can
drag and drop into your layout

"Seriously Cute" Mini Kit FREEBIE!!!

Happy Tuesday!!

I love Tuesdays.
Tuesdays are my "recharging" days. I spend much need girl time with my girlfriends. My kids get to play with their best friends and we are all happy!
I need this time every week to let it all out, help when I can, laugh a lot, and get much needed advise.

It is a beautiful and simple thing, our Tuesdays together, food, park, sun and each other!

So I thought today is the perfect day to share my new mini kit. I want to share some of the joy of my Tuesdays with you!! I have already finished the add on kit but have to up load it to 4shared still. I will have that done in the next few days.

I hope you are enjoying Summer and that you too have a good friend/friends you can call or be with and let it all hang out. Without good friends where would we be?? Stewing in our own crazy juices I think LOL!!

Thursday's Techy Blog and FREEBIE!!!!

I am sorry I missed last week. I had company. I am hopefully making up for it with this tech blog!!

I am really excited about this one!!
So we have overlays that have no color and you want to use it but it's too dark!

FOR
Photoshop CS and PSE

1. Start with the overlay

2. Create another blank layer then fill with color of your choice. Here I chose a rose pink.



3. Make sure this layer is under your overlay layer, like so.



4. Next chose the "Normal" drop down menu (while on the overlay layer which should be on top!!)

5. Scroll down until you see "Soft Light


6. Voila you have a beautifully textured paper!! :)

I don't do a lot of word art. I was inspired though by Phil Vassar (one of my favorite Country Singer/Song writers! "Just another day in paradise" is one of my favorite songs. Its been a rough time for all of us lately with the economy and just being adults!! LOL

So I wanted to remind myself how good my life really is. I am living my own private paradise, even if it's not perfect!

How to use Actions in PSE (link)

I have had such a crazy day. With my kids going to Grandmas I haven't had time to finish my freebie. I did want to share something really cool!

I love actions. I use them in CS4 but I know many of you have PSE. So I am going to link a
"HOW TO USE ACTIONS IN PSE". (click how to or atomic cupcake to go to website) I think that this will be very helpful to many of you.
